Attestation from India
For attesting non-education documents*, the following steps are involved:
- Notary from Advocate, India
- Home Department (Mantralaya), India
- Ministry of External Affairs (MoEA), India
- Foreign Affairs Department in Qatar Embassy, India
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Qatar
Delivery Time: 10-12 Indian working days
*Non-education documents include Marriage Certificates, Birth Certificates, Experience Certificates, Death Certificates, etc.
Attestation for Education Documents
There are two options for attesting educational documents: the Indian Embassy option and the Qatar Embassy option. Both are accepted by Qatar’s labour and emigration departments.
Indian Embassy Option
The following steps are involved for the Indian Embassy option:
- Notary from Advocate, India
- Home Department (Mantralaya), India
- Ministry of External Affairs (MoEA), India
- Indian Embassy, Qatar
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Qatar
Note: As per the Indian Embassy’s policy, documents must be submitted by the titleholder. In some cases, submission through a sponsor (such as a husband or father) or the titleholder’s company PRO may be accepted.
Delivery Time: For the first three steps, 8-10 Indian working days
Qatar Embassy Option
The following steps are involved for the Qatar Embassy option:
- University verification
- Human Resources Department (HRD), India
- Ministry of External Affairs (MoEA), India
- Foreign Affairs Department in Qatar Embassy, India
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Qatar
Delivery Time: 25-60 Indian working days (depending on the university’s verification process)
